About

Tai Chi is an ancient inner-style (nei jia) Chinese martial art. In AU Tai Chi, we study the Wudang style.

The soft, flowing movements help to increase the strength and flexibility of both mind and body. It is an efficient stress reliever and body conditioner. The form is learned at your own pace by following a teacher and is then put into its martial context through partner exercises.


Once the basics are learned you can progress to martial applications using the club sparring gear. You also start working on the weapon forms. In our style we study spear, sabre, and sword.


AU Tai Chi club is non-competitive and open to all levels and abilities. That said, we would gladly support anyone with competitions in mind.
